In the golden age of comic books, Action Comics released in June 1938 the most widely known fictional icon of all time. "Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird. It's a plane. It's Superman making his debut for the never-ending battle for truth, justice and the american way. In 1939, Detective Comics #27 launched a bat icon that would last for the ages.
